Speaker : Key Kawamura is co-founder of Studio Banana, an imagination agency based in Lausanne, Madrid and London. Active in the field of design-driven innovation, the studio’s work includes acclaimed products like the Ostrich Pillow, crowdfunding landslides like Batband, upbeat work environments like the headquarters of McCann Worldgroup as well as work for multiple organisations. Studio Banana’s work has been exhibited in museums like MoMA. Key, and his co-founding partner Ali, are frequent speakers in conferences and have lectured in places like Harvard, Stanford, Guggenheim Bilbao, Tokyo Designers Week or the Hong Kong Business of Design Week.
At Studio Banana we believe in radical collaboration. It’s the only way we know in order to deliver user-centered design products, services or experiences. We constantly explore new ways of fostering collaboration, from imagination workshops, to participatory user journeys, through crowdsourcing, crowd games and gamified challenges. In our gig at UX Romandie we’ll explore some of these principles and discuss them with the public.
